Privacy Policy

Effective 12 July 2026

dotself is a personal health logbook. Your log belongs to you. This policy describes what the app records, where it lives, and what we never do with it.

What dotself stores

The entries you create - sleep, training, food, symptoms, body measurements, and notes - are stored in your account so they sync across your devices. The words you speak or type are processed to extract those structured entries; the resulting entry text is what we keep.

HealthKit

With your permission, dotself reads Apple Health data (such as sleep, workouts, steps, and vitals) to import your history. That data stays on your device until you record it as an entry; entries you record then sync to your account like anything else you log. dotself never uses your health data for advertising, and never sells or shares it with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app.

What we do not do

dotself carries no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics trackers. We do not sell your data and we do not use your health information to target ads.

AI processing

To parse what you say or type into structured entries, dotself sends that input to a language-model provider under contract that is prohibited from training on it. Only the content needed to create the entry is sent.

Your controls

You can edit or delete any entry, and you can request deletion of your account and its data by emailing support@dotself.app.
